Coach Fred Speck has been a coach and instructor in the valley since 1997 and is was the Head Coach of Grand Canyon University Club Team 2 from 2015 - 2019. He has over 30 years of coaching experience with youth, high school, collegiate and international teams. He organized and managed an Academy with over 100 players from 2007-2012 in age groups 9u-18u, taking three 12u teams to Cooperstown, NY.
Coach Speck graduated from Biola University in Business Management and was a four-year starter, leaving the program as the All-Time Hits Leader. He married his wife, Wendy, on May 19, 2000, and they have two children, a beautiful girl Jordan (19) and a future MLB ballplayer, Cooper (14).

About Rich Warnol - Instructor/Coach
Rich Warnol is in his 8th season with Grand Canyon University club baseball leading his team to two straight NCBA World Series berths in 2018 and 2019 and a runner-up finish in 2019. He has coached at several programs with success at each stop. He has college coaching experience with three years at Arizona Christian University as interim head coach and then assistant coach. Coach Warnol also has been successful at the high school level with 10 years as an assistant at Horizon High School and six as a head coach at Scottsdale Christian Academy, Pinnacle High School and North Canyon High School.
Coach Warnol was a four-year starter at Biola University and was a first-team NCCAA All-American. He graduated in physical education and earned a master’s in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University. Coach Warnol has been married for 31 years to his wife, Holly. He has three awesome kids – Tanner, Kassidy and Brayden.

About Brian Sheets - Instructor/Coach - 13u Black
Brian Sheets was four-year starter at Mount Vernon Nazarene University, where he was a member of two NCCAA National Champion teams and played in the NAIA College World Series. He was named First Team Mid-Ohio Conference, First Team NCCAA Eastern Region and the NCCAA National All-Tournament Team. He graduated with a degree in Business Management, minoring in Sports Management. Brian has managed and coached multiple teams through High Desert Little League.
Before moving to Phoenix, Brian held various grounds crew positions in the Pirates, Dodgers and San Francisco Giants organizations. He is currently employed in the Recreation department at the City of Scottsdale. He’s been married to his wife, Jenn, for 16 years and has two kids, Avery (16) and Clayton (14).

About Isaac Wenrich - Catching & Hitting Instructor
Coach Isaac is in his second year with 9r Baseball and has quickly become one of our most popular instructors with his enthusiam and energy for the game. He has been involved in many of our youth camps, clinics and private instruction.
Coach Isaac attended Franklin Pierce University and spent six seasons playing independent minor league baseball. He is currently is the Red organization with the goal of becoming a MLB bullpen catcher.

About - Nate Gulik Instructor/Coach - 13u White
Coach Nate started with 9r Baseball in 2023 and immediately jumped in a coaching role in the 13u program. He is available for private instruction and will assist in our unlimited membership training program.
Coach Nate played high school at Phoenix College Prep winning two State Championships and receiving first-team and second- team honors. After being recruited by D2 and NAIA schools, he decided to enroll at Paradise Valley Community College, but his playing time was cut short with an injury.

Terry, 'Pollz', Pollreisz was drafted by the New York Yankees in 1968 and the Baltimore Orioles in 1969. From 1972 to 1983 Terry coached baseball, basketball and football at Westlinn High School in Oregon where he won two State Championships. He went on to coach college baseball at the University of Portland from 1984 to 1997. In 1998 Terry took a position as hitting and defensive coach for the Seattle Mariners.
